These details describe the standard $49 Guestbook Live, $89 Event Experience, and $119 Complete Experience. Your event’s confirmed dates, storage allowance, and written proposal take precedence where they differ.

When your experience opens

The $49 self-serve guestbook opens after payment is confirmed, even if your event is still ahead. Custom-designed experiences open when Caitlin finishes setup: normally 3–5 business days after payment and all required details arrive. You receive a personal response within 24 hours of a custom request. A host can close submissions sooner or make the event private.

Uploads and included hosting

For a standard event, guests may contribute from launch through the end of the day 90 days after the event date. Included hosting and host access run through the end of the date 12 calendar months after the event. These deadlines use UTC; your dashboard shows the exact event-specific dates. Revealing the wall later does not restart either period. Uploads also require an open guestbook and available storage.

Save your downloads before the included access ends. The public experience becomes unavailable at its access deadline. Completed memories are not automatically deleted on that date, but this is not a promise of permanent storage or continued access.

What you can keep

Authorized hosts can download original uploaded photos at their uploaded resolution, videos, and voice messages individually, or save a ZIP of the collection with a readable transcript of guest names and written notes. The transcript does not transcribe audio or video. Display images may be optimized, while original uploads are preserved for download. A camera’s original quality cannot be restored if a guest uploads a smaller copy.

The ZIP includes available, non-deleted memories, including hidden or pending submissions. Download large collections on a computer. The designed digital keepsake is a separate $19 add-on to the $49 and $89 packages and is included with $119; the original-file ZIP is included in all three.

Storage and fair use

The standard allowance is 10 GiB (10,737,418,240 bytes, about 10.7 GB) per event. Originals, display images, and preview files count toward it. Your dashboard shows your actual allowance and usage. New uploads are blocked when they would exceed it; this is not unlimited storage. Contact Caitlin about larger needs before your event. No automatic overage charge is applied.

• Photos: up to five per post, 20 MiB each.
• Voice messages: one per post, up to three minutes and 15 MiB.
• Videos: one per post, up to 60 seconds and 75 MiB.
• Written notes: up to 1,500 characters.

Only enabled contribution types are available at each event. Rate limits help prevent abusive or repeated submissions; if prompted, wait before retrying. Share only content you have permission to provide.

Privacy and host control

No app or guest account is required. Each event has an unlisted link and QR code. Anyone who receives or is forwarded that link can visit while the experience is open; it is not password-protected. Hosts can require approval, hide or delete individual posts, collect privately, delay a reveal, or make the whole experience private or view-only.

Media is held in private storage and delivered through time-limited links. Host tools require authorized account access. Approved content can be seen by event-link visitors according to the host’s settings, and recipients can save or share what they can access. Ownership of content

Your content remains yours. Guestbook Live does not claim ownership of uploaded content; copyright stays with its creator. Submitting a memory makes it available to the host and, according to the event’s settings, other event visitors. Hosts can view and download the collection, but access does not transfer another creator’s copyright.

Extensions and archiving

Contact Caitlin before expiry to discuss an extension; availability and pricing are confirmed individually. There is no automatic renewal, published automatic-deletion schedule for completed memories, or included permanent online archive. Keep your downloaded ZIP as your own offline archive. Deleting a contribution from the host dashboard is permanent; a prior download is not removed from its recipient’s device.
